I like eating meat, no
I’m not being snarky (for once) but what has fasting in protest ever done to help humanity? As in has it ever actually pushed a humanitarian cause to fruition? Not that I consider veganism to be a humanitarian issue but really
I’m genuinely curious, and Google isn’t helpful.
Well, for one thing, it’s got you thinking and talking about it, as well as spreading the word.
Even if it won’t help our cause at all I’m not sacrificing anything. Hens are often starved, animals are not fed for over 12 hours on their way to slaughter - I will use October 2nd to think about what they go through and how important it is for me to keep spreading the word. Except my fast won’t end with slaughter like theirs.
While veganism is a way of life that avoids exploiting animals for food or any other unjustified reason, the environmental and humanitarian side-effects can’t be ignored. I suggest you do some more research on the subject and rethink your position.
But thank you for reblogging.
